Student can sightread in D and G Major in third position (all instruments) in duple and triple meter. Child maintains sitting play position while playing. Child can follow the conductor and demonstrates a consistent tempo. Child can read and write (is able to take notes in the music). Demonstrates responsibility with materials (instrument, pencil, music, stand).
